Reverberation Time

The reverberation time is oldest and best knowncriterion in the field of Acoustic. iIt is measured in seconds and is defined as the time taken for gnerated sound to decay by 60 dB after the sound source has been stopped. in 1920 W. C. Sabine publised an article concerning the relationship between reverberation time, volume and sound absorption. Althoug complex computer programmes and simulations are now available, the principles of room acoustics still revole around his simple equation.
